WOW Thanks

(I lifted this from an email Pat Canavan sent to summer Wide Open World volunteers, who presented the Global Outreach program to the children. They were Terri Taylor, Bethany Brooks, Dot Boersma, Joel Camenisch, Liz Mosebrook, Robin Petrongolo, Rose Esterly, Thom and Anne Lehman, Tim Gosselin, Anna Taylor, Ben Reimold, David Wynne, Steve Taylor, and Jesse Taylor.)


I wanted to thank all of you on behalf of the Session, Family Life, and Global Outreach for your good work with WOW this past summer. Not only did we have a higher attendance this summer, but we now have, after three years, a very solid foundation for an exciting summer program and a valuable education piece our kids do not fully encounter elsewhere in their time of growing up here at Tenth. All of you worked hard to impress upon the children the work God is doing around the world and the possibilities that exist for them to pray, support, and one day go out themselves.

I wanted to thank Terri Taylor in particular for her hard work in organizing each week, being such an encouragement to the other teachers, and creating a fun and varied atmosphere for the kids. I also wanted to thank Thom Lehman and others who worked so patiently on the (very successful) passport program.

I praise God for all your efforts in helping to raise a well informed, godly generation here at Tenth. I know the children will not remember every lesson you taught them, but I do pray that, among other things, they will remember you and will rise up one day to call you blessed.
