Initiative Against Human Trafficking Training

Human Sexual and Employment Trafficking is becoming a huge international and national crisis and probably even in Philadelphia. Victims are transported either by coercion, fraud, or force, and kept involuntarily: either for sexual or employment purposes. The Salvation Army is at the forefront in fighting trafficking and rescuing its victims. In Philadelphia, The Salvation Army wants to join this fight, and is proud to sponsor this training.

The training is April 16 – 18 (Wednesday – Friday), 9:00–4:30, at the Pioneer Corps, 1920 E. Allegheny Avenue, 19134 (Kensington), close to Market-Frankford Line, Allegheny stop. You are invited to join Salvation Army Officers and employees in attending. You will learn how to identify and help victims, and fight trafficking.

Cost is approximately $150 per person. Some partial scholarships available. To register, contact John Shookowsky at 215-787-2801, or at jshookowsky@use.salvationarmy.org by April 4. Registration is limited. For questions or to request scholarship help, contact Dave Langford at 215-787-2802 or at dlangford@use.salvationarmy.org
