Finance Director
The Director is responsible for directing and overseeing all financial aspects of Esperanza Health Center, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, reimbursement and other financial matters. Esperanza has an operating budget of $4.6 million and is the recipient of three federal grants and other smaller grants. This position is responsible for overseeing the monthly preparation, review, and analysis of all financial statements and reports, in partnership with the outside accounting firm. The Director is responsible for overseeing the financial performance of grant programs, the annual operating budget and management of cash flow activities. The Director oversees the finance staff in day-to-day operations of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and medical billing. Candidates for this position will ideally have a degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience. Financial experience in a medical setting, particularly in a Federally Qualified Health Center, and experience in medical billing is desirable. The ideal candidate will desire to be part of a team of people serving Christ in the urban context of North Philadelphia.
