MTW Appeal for Peru Earthquake Needs

From the ByFaith Online Newsletter:

A 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit Peru on August 15, 2007, and residents of the city of Pisco, are facing winter. 85% of the homes were destroyed and most people are sleeping in the streets in temperatures just above freezing. Smaller cities around Pisco fared the same and the infrastructure of the entire region was heavily damaged. Mission to the World had an assessment team on the ground quickly. MTW’s Minuteman Appeal is being made to provide long-term needs. MTW is also recruiting short-term teams to provide assistance. Particular needs include people with construction or handyman skills, nurses, emergency medical technicians, counselors, and pastors.
