Women of Westminster Faculty Lecture Series

7:30 p.m., Van Til Hall, Room 3, on the Glenside Campus

Culture, Communication, and Sexuality: A Biblical and Frank Discussion In the beginning, God created sexuality and intimacy… and they were good. The entrance of sin marred their beauty and glory and has left us with sex in the city and desperate housewives. Come discover how the wisdom of the Bible brings healing and redemption to our fallen sexuality.

March 6: Headaches, Hebrew, and Other Threats to Marital Sexuality Dr. Ed Welch, Professor of Practical Theology, with Mrs. Sheri Welch A strong sexual relationship in marriage isn’t always easy. This evening will consider some of the threats to a good sexual relationship and discuss some practical ways to address those threats.

March 13: Caring For Women in Crisis
Dr. Diane Langberg, Adjunct Professor of Practical Theology
We will be considering the components of a ministry to women in crisis by looking briefly at the issues of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and chronic illness. We will also learn what is required of us if we are to endure in such a ministry.

March 20: The Gospel in a Sex-Saturated Culture: Truth and Grace for Sexual Strugglers Inside and Outside the Church Rev. John Freeman, Executive Director of Harvest U.S.A. In our sex-obsessed culture, those of us with sexually-scarred hearts and lives are no longer the exception but more the norm. How does the gospel apply to these struggles? How can we minister a gospel of hope to our own hearts and the hearts of others?

The Faculty Lecture Series is a free program of continuing education for women provided by Westminster Theological Seminary. The seminary is located at the intersection of Church Road/Rt. 73 and Willow Grove Avenue in Glenside, PA. Directions are available at <http://www.wts.edu/general/visit.html>.
