What a deal!

If you do not yet have plans for Saturday, you might be interested in Museum Day. On September 30, 2006, for one day only, museums across the country will join the Smithsonian Institution in its long-standing tradition of offering free admission to visitors.

You can check out the list of participating museums here (includes the Franklin Institute, Winterthur (DE), among many others).

You need to print out a pass from the website. This would be a great outing after the Phillipses seminar Saturday morning.

What a great thing!!! Thanks for the heads up. I went and looked at the site and noticed that my old employer, The University Museum of Archaeology and Anthroplogy is participating. This is a great and underappreciated museum here in Philadelphia, partly because it is here in West Phila. and not on the parkway with so many of the other museums. If you are interested in ancient cultures/art or have kids who are studying ancient cultures this year or just want to see mummies (wrapped and unwrapped) you should check it out.

Makes me wonder if the Creation Evidence Museum charges for admission. But only makes me wonder a little bit, as I'm really just taking this opportunity to post the url for the website found at www.http://creationevidence.org/cemframes.html, and mention that it is associated with one of the amazing gems one can sometimes find on TBN (Channel 48, regular TV).

You should know that the pass is only good for you and one guest.

Yes, print out some extra passes for others if you want to take a group.
