Magnified Help Needed
I want to buy a pair binoculars to look over the Schuykill River view from my window. But I don't know where to buy a pair and what kind of magnifying power to get. Any help?

Marion,
There are few things to consider. I assume you also would like to use the binos for additional activities, like hiking, watching birds, look at deer at dusk and point them up in the sky to watch the moon and stars.
In principle a good standard one for your stated activity would be the 7x50, but they are on the heavy side to carry with you. I prefer the 10x50, which have aprox. the highest magnification you can have a steady few with. 15x.. or 20x.. need a tripod. I would not choose a Zoom version! The quality of the pic is just not as good with a fix focus.
If you like to take it with you at daylight, a light 10x20 or 10x30 will work best.
Don't buy them unseen, try a few at shop!
