A member and former member of Christ Community Church (PCA) in Franklin, Tenn., Steve Taylor and Peter Shockey, have produced the film The Second Chance. Michael W. Smith is a lead actor in the film. Thanks for the heads up on the books for sale. Hannah is on the look out for a copy of the Vulgate ( in Latin, not translated). I didn't see one listed, but this would be a great opportunity ( or temptation) for a seminary student to add some great books to their library!

Does the PCA have any provision to help a pastor who is having trouble paying medical bills? It seems unfortunate, both for the pastor and his congregation, that he would have to thin his library in order to pay medical bills.

Good question. There is a ministerial relief fund, the same fund we contributed to at the Christmas Eve service, which provides help. I'm sure contributions would be appreciated. If you'd like to do the research on how to make a donation, I'll be glad to publish it.

Debby Brown of the Ministerial Relief Fund informed me yesterday that when she read the same article that you mentioned in your blog on Wednesday, she contacted the pastor in question. FYI, we cannot send money to MRF designated for this pastor. That is against IRS regulations.
