Maestro the Lion

Elder Tom Elliott sent this is. "Maestro the Lion" is his project.

A free Maestro the Lion Children’s Concert to benefit Japanese tsunami relief will be held on Sunday, March 27. The concert is especially appropriate for grade school age children and their families, and will be from 3:00pm to 4:30pm in the auditorium at Lower Merion High School, 315 E Montgomery Ave, Ardmore PA. The program features music from Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite, and begins with excerpts from a book, written and illustrated by LMHS graduates, that tells the story of the music.
During intermission, high school musicians offer hands-on instrument demos to any interested audience members. The program also features a very special guest soloist, 5th grader Isabella Egawa, performing the first movement of the Bruch Violin Concerto. Donations to aid Japanese tsunami relief will be accepted at the door. For more information, please call 610-645-1977. Sponsored by Lower Merion School District and Maestro’s Friends with help from Harmony for Peace and Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia.
